The tip of the nose tends to droop with time, like everything else, so we interpret a long nose as belonging to an older face.  A rhinoplasty, therefore, can be performed as a facial rejuvenation procedure, to make the face look younger.

She had a face lift at the same time as her nose surgery.  The face lift smoothed her jaw line, but shortening her nose added considerably to the impression of youth in her face.

But issues of youth aside, she just thought her nose was too long for her anyway!

This my mom she did a rhinoplasty before years ago and she doesn't feel good about her face and nose. Does she need a revison rhinoplasty? And does she need a face left..her doctor said she is too early for face left. She hates her face and i want her to feel good about her self what does she need to feel younger and prettier?

Dr. Denenberg's answer: Your mom could look better -- and younger -- with a revision rhinoplasty
Hi.
Your mom's rhinoplasty left her with a very long nose, and a long nose makes a face look older. Making a substantial elevation of the tip of the nose, even in a revision, is quite predictable, but only in the most expert of hands, so you must see before and after photos of a doctor's revision work in shortening noses before you hire a doctor.

Her nose could also be thinner, and the tip made less prominent from the front. See the attached video and the Web reference link for examples of what can be accomplished.

I tend to agree that it's hard to make a meaningful improvement in the face when the skin is still so thick and strong and smooth, and the neck line is so good. If I were your mom, I'd address the nose, and wait on the face!
