As we have seen on some other patients on this site, making a change in one small area of the face can have an impact on the appearance of the entire face, especially when the eyes are involved.

Questioner: Are these enough qualifications for a Rhinoplasty surgeon?
I already met with dr (?) and feel comfortable to go with him to perform my rhinoplasty. I just want to make sure he has the right qualifications. “ABMS MOC” Maintenance of Certifcation (MOC) by the American Board of Plastic Surgery Current Diplomat, American Board of Plastic Surgery Current Certification of Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Past Diplomat, American Board of Surgery
(Questioner submitted photos)

Dr. Denenberg's answer: Looking for these qualifications can get you in big trouble
There are lots of boards and groups that certify and evaluate surgeons who perform rhinoplasty.

But you want to know the *skill* of your doctor. The great majority of doctors who do rhinoplasty are mediocre at this operation, and the only way to tell the doctor's skill is to review his before and after photos. Board certification means almost nothing at all. Ignore the diplomas and look at the photos. See whether he has been able to accomplish for others precisely what you want for yourself.

If you find yourself looking for a revision operation later, having picked a doctor with the "right" qualifications this time will be very little comfort indeed.
