This view is called the base view.  The shape of her nose in the before picture is not unexpected, considering that we already knew that the tip of her nose sat too close to her face.  The nostrils are pushed outward.  After I increased the nose's projection and narrowed the tip, the nostrils moved into a more natural position and shape.
