Keyboard shortcuts

When you are viewing before and after pictures, or when you are reading one of the Surgery Tutorials or Essays, you click with your mouse to change the size of the photos, or to move to another page or to another patient.  But you may also navigate around the photo sections by using your keyboard:

  • Pressing the "L" key (for "large") or the "S" key (for "small") will change the image size from large to small or small to large.  In all of these keyboard shortcuts, capitalization doesn't matter; just press the key.

Besides changing the image size, other keyboard navigation aids are available, too.  If you are viewing a before and after page,

  • The "N" key (next) will take you to the next view of the same patient.

  • The "P" key (previous) will take you to the previous view of the same patient.

  • The "Z" key will take you to the next patient.

  • The "A" key will take you to the previous patient.

If you are viewing a page in one of the Surgery Tutorials or Essays,

  • The "N" key (next) will take you to the next page.

  • The "P" key (previous) will take you to the previous page.

Use your browser's "Back" button if you need to return to photographs that you were using before requesting this page..
