Questioner: How much of this tip can come off?
I've had primary rhinoplasty and revision. The second result worse than the first. I've got 6 months left of my one year wait to try to fix this. My question: Based on photos, how much of the tip would you reasonably reduce. The proportions seem way off, and my nose looks heinous from all angles. I have juvederm injections in the sides to fill in where too much was taken. I know those areas will need to be built back up, but this tip still feels outrageous. Too big, too high, oddly misshapen.

Dr. Denenberg's answer: Probably you can have substantial improvement in your nose
It is likely that a substantial improvement to your nose is still possible. On the profile view, the tip can be "deprojected," which means bringing it back closer to the face. See the video link for a *simulation* of proposed changes to your nose. In the profile simulation, I also added strength to your chin, simulating a chin implant. Of course, work on the chin is totally optional, but strengthening the chin can make the nose look smaller, making it seem as though the nose operation went even better.

On the profile view, besides reducing the size and strength of the tip, I also narrowed the bridge of your nose: both the upper part, where it's made of bone, and the middle part, above the tip and below the bones, where it's made of cartilage. That entire bridge area to me looks as though it can stand some narrowing. Agree?
