When a peel is planned for a limited area of the face, such as in this case, just around the mouth, the peel can be performed at the same time as the face lift operation.  On the other hand, if a peel of the entire face is planned, we wait six weeks after the face lift before performing the peel.  It's asking too much of the skin to require that it heal underneath from the face lift operation at the same time that it's trying to heal on the surface from the peel.
