The "platform" of the upper eyelid is the strip of skin between the
upper eyelashes and the crease that forms when the eye is open, about one-fourth
of an inch above the upper eyelashes. It's where you would put eyeliner on
your upper eyelids. One of the goals of upper eyelid surgery is to give us
a view of the platform again, as we see in the after picture.
