If you look closely, you can probably see how the skin changed color slightly in the area that was peeled.  Many people have to deal with that pigmentation change after a peel.  However, if the surgeon selects his patients well, it won't be a problem because the patients will be so happy with the overall outcome, despite the change in skin color.
