The area around the mouth (the peri-oral area) is the most commonly peeled region of the face, mainly because that's where most of us develop our wrinkles first.  The skin is often thick, and resistant to improvements from a resurfacing operation, which is why I prefer the chemical peel, which is the strongest of the resurfacing options.
