The chin implant is placed through a one-half-inch incision in the skin
underneath the chin. The incision hides well, around the corner, where you
don't see it unless you are looking for it. The operation can also be
accomplished through an incision hidden in the mouth, but modern implants
are easier and safer to place using the incision under the chin.
