She doesn't really have a ball on the end of her nose, even if that's the
cliché. The cartilages that form the tip of her nose are wide, and they
overlap each other, giving the impression of a ball.
A wide tip will appear to be a bulge on an oblique view of the nose. If
you put your finger on her nose where it begins, next to the inner corner of her
left eye, and run your finger down the edge of her nose, your finger will have
to bump out to your right as it follows the bulge around the tip of her nose in
this view. In the after picture, with a narrower tip, that bulge is gone,
and your finger would trace a straight line from where her nose begins down to
the tip.
Now clean off your computer screen.

Questioner:
How Can I Avoid a Bad Rhinoplasty?
Hello everybody, I'm thinking about going ahead with rhinoplasty but i have certain fears about the results. I found a girl with a nose and face shape almost identical to mine and to be honest i really think the results of this rhinoplasty are awful, so much so that I'm pretty apprehensive, my desire was to have a nose/shape that resembles the 2 illustrations. Could you tell me what sort of results i could gain from a nose like mine? (Questioner submitted photos)
Dr. Denenberg's answer: Please post your photographs
In selecting a rhinoplasty surgeon, you must see his before and after photos, of noses of your type. You need to see that he has succeeded in doing for someone else, what you want for yourself. If you post your photos, I can give you an idea of the types of techniques needed, what to look out for, what to be certain you communicate to your surgeon.
